Cynigir Cefnogaeth Llythrennedd Emosiynol i blant sy'n profi rhyw fath o anawsterau emosiynol. Mae'r rhaglen Cefnogaeth Llythrennedd Emosiynol yn helpu plant gyda'u llythrennedd emosiynol a gellir ei defnyddio fel un ffordd o gefnogi datblygiad emosiynol, gwella perthnasoedd a deall sefyllfaoedd heriol. Yn Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Helyg ac Ysgol Gymraeg Tredegar, caiff ein rhaglen Cefnogaeth Llythrennedd Emosiynol ei rhedeg gan Mrs Marshman sy'n Gynorthwyydd Cefnogaeth Llythrennedd Emosiynol (ELSA) sydd wedi'i hyfforddi'n llawn.
Fel arfer, mae Mrs Marshman yn gweld plant am sesiwn 1 i 1 ddwywaith yr wythnos i archwilio eu hanghenion emosiynol a datblygu strategaethau i'w cefnogi. Mae'r rhaglen ELSA yn rhedeg am chwe wythnos ar y tro, neu gyfnod o 12 sesiwn, ac ar ôl hynny caiff y plant eu monitro ar lefel dosbarth, gyda chefnogaeth eu hathro dosbarth i ymarfer y sgiliau y maen nhw wedi bod yn eu dysgu gyda Mrs Marshman.
Ar ddechrau'r rhaglen ELSA, gofynnir i rieni lenwi slip caniatâd, sy'n nodi eu bod yn hapus i'w plentyn dderbyn ymyrraeth ELSA ac i gynnwys eu cyfeiriad e-bost er mwyn i Mrs Marshman e-bostio adroddiad iddynt ar ddiwedd yr ymyrraeth.
Dylai unrhyw riant sy'n teimlo y byddai eu plentyn yn elwa o gefnogaeth siarad â'r athro / athrawes dosbarth yn gyntaf. Yna bydd yr athro / athrawes dosbarth yn trafod atgyfeiriad posibl gyda Mrs Marshman i wneud yn siŵr mai ELSA yw'r mecanwaith cefnogaeth gorau i'r plentyn ar yr adeg honno. Os bernir ei fod yn briodol, bydd yr athro dosbarth yn cwblhau ffurflen atgyfeirio.
An Introduction
Emotional Literacy Support is offered to children who are experiencing emotional difficulties. The Emotional Literacy Support program helps children with their emotional literacy and can be a valuable avenue of support for emotional development, improving relationships, and understanding challenging situations. At Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Helyg and Ysgol Gymraeg Tredegar, our Emotional Literacy Support program is led by Mrs. Marshman, a fully trained Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA).
Our ELSA Program
Typically, Mrs. Marshman meets with children for one-to-one sessions twice a week to explore their emotional needs and develop strategies to support them. The ELSA program runs for a block of twelve sessions over a six-week period. Following this intervention, children are monitored at a class level, with support from their class teacher to help them practice the skills they have been learning with Mrs. Marshman.
Parental Involvement
At the beginning of the ELSA program, parents are asked to complete a permission slip. This slip indicates their consent for their child to receive ELSA intervention and provides their email address so that Mrs. Marshman can send a report at the end of the intervention.
What to do if you feel your child would benefit from ELSA support
Any parent who feels their child would benefit from this support should speak with their child's class teacher first. The class teacher will then discuss a potential referral with Mrs. Marshman to ensure that ELSA is the most suitable support mechanism for the child at that time. If the support is deemed appropriate, the class teacher will complete a referral form.
